Beauty Tips/Secrets

Hello again....

Everyone loves to have amazing skin they can feel comfortable in. Wouldn't it be amazing to feel like you don't constantly need to wear makeup?
Putting cleansing aside, i am going to tell you some of my beauty tips and secrets to lush skin, enjoy....

Lips.
I don't know about everyone ele's but in winter i can get really dry lips and the skin starts flaking off and my lips just look plain awful, and sometimes lip balm just doesn't do the job.
When my lips end up in this state, i get my toothbrush and i put nothing on it and i scrub my lips. In doing this i am removing all the dead skin off my lips, leaving them silky smooth. It also plumps up your lips giving your lips a sexier fuller look.
I do this at night before bed, and do make sure you clean your toothbrush afterwards.
After this I put the moisture back into my lips my putting some lip balm on them, you can use any lip balm you like. I use Vaseline original because it makes my lips super soft and helps keep them nice and smooth against the cold.

Makeup Removal
Hide your makeup wipes and do not use them, the only time your allowed to use makeup wipes is at a sleepover. I strongly recommend you stop using facial wipes and start using liquid make up remover if you don't already. Simply because its a lot better for your skin.
Here is why you shouldn't use makeup wipes.
Reason 1: Moist cloths on top of each other are a breeding ground for bacteria.
Reason 2: Most makeup wipes have alcohol in, and this is bad for the skin.
Reason 3: They can dry skin out.
Reason 4: Although it removes your makeup it doesn't help your skin in any way possible all it does is remove impurities.
Reason 5: Liquid or cream make up removers, remove impurities including make up, and they moisturize skin, and depending on which you purchase some even tone.

I use the L'Oreal skin perfection. 3 in 1 purifying micellar solution, it dissolves make up, unclogs pores,  removes impurities and tones and smooths skin. This is the best product i have tried for this particular thing and i would recommend it to anyone it does the job to perfection.

When i go to a sleepover i use the Avon Perfect wear makeup remover because it is in a much smaller bottle which means it is easier to carry around and its a very cute size. This product is very good the only problem with it is that it doesn't
tone the skin.

Spots.
You shouldn't do this step in the morning, but at night to help your spots put Sudocrem on your face.
Sudocrem helps Acne, and i don't have acne but i still use it and it has done wonders for my spots it has helped my face out loads. To put on large areas where you find lots of spots the amount you use depends on how bad your spots. If you have acne apply a generous amount so all of the spots are covered, if you have bad spots but you don't have acne apply a full layer to the spots so all the spots are covered but it should be still a very thin layer, and if your not really spot prone at all you want the tiniest amount on your face. If you just have the odd spot, just apply the Sudocrem directly on that spot and no where else other wise you will make your face oily. If you do this step correctly you shouldn't need any other additional spot cream.

Lashes.
Before bed i put lip balm on my lashes.... yes lip balm.
For this step you can use any lip balm you would like, try not to use colour pigmented lip balms. I use a very basic cheep lip balm for this step because you don't need a expensive one to see results as i use the Wilkinson's own lip balm and have seen results with this product.

Before i go to bed i line my lash line with the lip balm and put the lip balm on my eye lashes, like you would if you were wearing mascara.
This moisturizes your lash line, which stops your eye lashes from falling out when you take your make up off. Eventually doing this everyday for a very long period of time you may see a difference in the length of your lashes.

First blog! Morning Skincare routine

Hello guys,
First time blogger here ahhh.
But anyway i love fashion and beauty and really everything in general that is girly vintage and pretty. I am very much a girly girl as you will learn from my posts! Here on my blog you will see all sorts of different routines and reviews and hauls.
So i'm going to get straight into it because honestly who wants to read a boring introduction, i know i wouldn't!
So here you go my Skin care routine.

I feel like before i start i should explain what sort of skin i have so you can fully understand why i have particular products and how they work for me. I have normal skin but i have a oily t-zone, but around my nose and eyes in winter i do get dry skin and unfortunately i am extremely spot prone  :(

At this current moment i am in love with No7 skin care products, i am using products that specifically target oily skin which is perfect for me, but i do use other things on my face so here we go.......

Morning Skincare routine, STEP 1:
I always brush my teeth before i wash my face, but to brush your teeth is an obvious step. After brushing your teeth, i get my No7 Beautiful Skin Foaming Cleanser. I make sure my face is damp and press down on the bottle once as that is enough to clean your whole face. I rub that into my face and under my chin until the wash goes sticky(not a technical term but that's how it feels on my face). Next i rinse it off with warm water and i dry me face.

I like this wash because it makes my skin feel great and its not to strong or harsh on the skin. It also moisturizes my skin but also at the same time gives me a Matt finish and keeps my oiliness under control. The face wash claims that it is "A gentle soap free foaming cleanser that cleverly dissolves make up and impurity's whilst helping tightening pores" It does tighten pores.I always fully take my makeup off before i use this wash so i cant say if it does dissolve make up but i believe its better for the skin to take your makeup off before you cleanse its a lot better for your skin and it looks after your spots better.

STEP 2:
Next i use my No7 Beautiful Skin moisturizer. I do not use toner after i cleanse as i have not found one that completely works for me yet and my cleanser does the trick. When i moisturize i put a little bit on my finger and wipe small amounts on to different areas of my face such as each individual cheek, nose, chin and forehead and then i massage it all in together not forgetting my neck.

I love love love this product, i struggle to find a good moisturizer as i often find they make me even more oily than i already am, and that's not really what i want ! But at last i found a moisturizer that doesn't make my skin more oily and greasy than it already is! I really like the smell of it to its smells a bit like cucumber which i think is nice and refreshing. The thing that puts me off moisturizers the most are ones that smell not to great (eg the simple moisturizer isn't the best smelling thing in the world) so im happy with the smell of this one. It also has SPF 15 and a 5star UVA so all in all a very good product.

STEP 3:
I don't like using to many things on my face in the morning because i want my face to be looking fresh, and not like my pours are full of product, but if you have a good enough foundation or bb cream (or anything else you use) it should cover it up but its not very good for your skin, so i try to keep it basic in the morning. These next three steps are optional and you don't have to do them but i do them because it really helps my skin. Next i use my No7 Beautiful Skin T Zone rescue. I simply apply a small amount to my nose and forehead and rub the cream into my T Zone.
I don't do this every morning if i don't think my skin needs it. If i'm looking shiny i will put it on to mattify my face, and i like this product just because on my oily days it does a bang up job on getting rid of the greasy shine on my face.

STEP 4:
Again this is optional but next i use No7 Beautiful Skin Rapid Spot Rescue. I don't apply this on every single pimple on my face because i just simply wouldn't have enough cream for the job, but when i get individual red angry spots i use it and it calms the redness down and its amazing because it makes my spots go so much quicker:)
This cream forms a clear protective layer over the spot which then hardens up so you can put makeup on with out getting the make up in the spot and making it worse.
Double thumbs up for Rapid Spot Rescue.

STEP 5:
Almost done just apply your favorite lip balm, to get your lips looking as great as your face!! You can use any lip balm you own although i would avoid using lip glosses and colour pigmented lip balms because you will apply them later on when you do you make up. The lip balm is prepping you for that stage!
I use Vaseline on my lips most mornings, but Vaseline can be quite heavy on the lips so if i'm wanting something a bit lighter on my lips i use, one of my Mayberlline Baby lips, in either Hydrate, Intense Care or Mint depending on what i want.

All you have to do next is your makeup if you wear it and tadaaa all done.

I hope you liked my first blog post let me know what you think and see you next time thanks guys, see you next time.

Much love
Beth xx
